I had some “down time” on a recent United flight. While scrolling the United app, I came across the “Meet the Fleet” screen shot below. Next to Airbus and Boeing are two start-ups - Archer and Boom Supersonic - who were early investments from AFVentures at AFWERX. It’s always exciting to see portfolio companies being compared to institutional public cos Shout out to all the nameless, hard-working government innovators whose tireless efforts accelerated diversity in US Aerospace. Amazing how the transformations to the #SBIR program have driven competition in an oligopoly, resulting in TWO new commercial aircraft companies. Well done!
