Pine Bluff Arsenal was established Nov. 3, 1941, by the War Department to manufacture and assemble incendiary munitions. The mission has expanded to make it unique among military installation. The Arsenal, under the command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command and the U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command, serves a critical need for the domestic production of illuminating, infrared, phosphorus and smoke munitions. As a Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence (CITE) for Chemical and Biological Defense Equipment, Smoke Ammunition and Textile Manufacturing, the Arsenal is responsible for a variety of products that save lives and protect the Warfighter.

#ICYMI Arlington National Cemetery and the United States Mint held a joint ceremony in honor of #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth on Nov. 6. The ceremony was held in honor of Native American activist, writer, and composer Zitkala-?a's, whose image on the U.S. Mint's latest quarter is part of the American Women Quarters program. Family members placed the quarters on her headstone at ANC which has long been a military tradition of remembrance. Read the full story ?? https://lnkd.in/ek3r9dCg

White Hall High School held their JROTC Raider Competition Saturday, Nov. 16 at Pine Bluff Arsenal. This was the fourth year the event has been held at PBA #AmericasArsenal. Fifteen schools were registered to compete this year including Arkadelphia, Brookland, Catholic, Conway, Harrisburg, Jacksonville, Lake Hamilton, Lonoke, North Little Rock, Russellville, Sheridan, Van Buren, Watson Chapel, Warren and White Hall. The competition events included log sit-ups, crab walk, deadlift, Covert mission, rope bridge, tire flip/jumps and pull/drag, burpees, weighted pull-ups, HMMWV push, etc. Winners were: Rope Bridge - Brookland Litter Carry - Watson Chapel Team Run -Brookland 3rd place overall-Lake Hamilton 2nd place overall-Brookland 1st place overall/Commander's Cup-Catholic U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) #WhiteHallJROTC #AmericasArsenal #Competition #Comradery
