Aberdeen Proving Ground Garrison Commander, COL Philip Mundweil and Garrison CSM, CSM Paul Denson, with HCC Commander, CPT Alex Davie, and HCC 1SG, 1SG Jami Williams, visited the Harford County EOC this afternoon to recognize five individuals for their outstanding assistance during the Garrison’s Full Scale Exercise in April 2024. COL Mundweil expressed his genuine and humble appreciation saying, “behind these small things is a very debt-full thanks!” The individuals were given a Certificate of Appreciation and APG command coin. We are better, together and we thank you for the continued support provided to APG this past April and going forward. #IMCOM

We honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 lost on September 11, 2001, and pay tribute to all the patriots and their families who sacrificed their lives for freedom. U.S. Army Garrison Aberdeen Proving Ground Command Sergeant Major, CSM Paul Denson, participated in the 9/11 Day Ceremony held at a Harford County Government building in Forest Hill, Maryland, this morning. Also in attendance was Bel Air Mayor, Paula Etting, Harford County Honor Guard, and County Executive, Bob Cassily.

On September 10, 2024, the Garrison Command team, including Garrison Commander, COL Philip Mundweil and Garrison CSM, CSM Paul Denson led a tour around Aberdeen Proving Ground for Mr. Larry Muzzelo, Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation representatives, Bel Air Office of Economic Development, and U.S. Air Force COL Francis. The visit is a step in APG obtaining a grant to conduct an installation resiliency study. During the tour, the representatives spoke with Lynda Hartzell, Directorate of Public Works, who said APG is “planning for the future to sustain the future.” The representatives also visited areas of interest across APG including the MD-715 Gate and APG’s C5ISR Campus which hosts mission partners who continue to revolutionize the Warfighter by aiding in the Army’s diverse mission. #IMCOM

Mr. Sean McClintock Senior Defense Policy Advisor for Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) is leading a Congressional staff delegation to visit Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) on 28AUG2024. Mr. McClintock led a similar delegation last year and requested another visit to APG to see parts of the post not visited during last year’s visit. The distinguished visitors were greeted by MG James D. Turinetti IV, Commanding General U.S. Army CECOM and Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).
