关于我们
The U.S. Soccer Foundation was established in 1994 as the major charitable arm of soccer in the United States. It is our mission to enhance, assist, and grow the sport of soccer in the United States, with a special emphasis on underserved communities. At the U.S. Soccer Foundation, we use our game as a vehicle to create positive social change in the communities where the need is greatest. We ensure that girls and boys living in underserved communities have access to evidence-based soccer programming that delivers positive health and youth development outcomes and safe places to play right in their neighborhoods. We are currently providing children in over 410 communities across the country with physical activity, nutrition education, and mentorship through our Soccer for Success program. Our Safe Places to Play program supports the development of safe places to play, grow, and learn, ensuring that children have easy and affordable access to quality soccer programs that support their physical and personal development. In 2017, we launched It’s Everyone’s Game, a campaign to inspire and empower the nation to drive the change that ensures children living in underserved communities enjoy the health and youth development outcomes of the game. In partnership with communities, municipalities, and corporate partners across the country, we aim to reach one million children annually in Soccer for Success and build 1,000 safe play spaces by 2026. Together, we can translate our love of soccer into positive change that improves lives and revitalizes communities. Join the movement at itseveryonesgame.org.

It was an honor to support Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's innovative Cougar KickBots program, an initiative that merges soccer, robotics, and life skills to empower youth in their community. As part of the program's launch, and to prepare student-athletes for their mentorship roles, we provided a Coach-Mentor Training to equip them with the skills to build positive connections, while fostering an inclusive coaching approach. We're excited to see how this program, led by SIUE’s STEM Center and SALT (Student Athletes Leading Tomorrow), will make a lasting impact. Read more: https://dub.sh/UWmRq2j

At #SXSW, Tim Howard and our President & CEO Ed Foster-Simeon sat down to talk about the future of soccer in the U.S. and how we can ensure the game creates a lasting impact in communities nationwide. For decades, we’ve been working to close the gap in access by bringing free programs, trained mentors, and safe places to play to the communities that need them most. With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, we have an opportunity to accelerate that work and ensure every child has the chance to thrive through soccer. #SoccerDoes #Legacy2026

At #SXSW, our President & CEO, Ed Foster-Simeon, joined an incredible discussion in The Female Quotient Lounge about the women who have shaped leadership at every level. Alongside James Thornton, Peter Giorgi, and Shelley Zalis, the conversation explored how women’s perspectives, mentorship, and leadership have helped mold executives into stronger, more thoughtful decision-makers. Thank you to The Female Quotient for the opportunity to share and learn, and to the other panelists for contributing to this inspiring conversation. #ThePowerOfInfluence #IWD #Leadership #WomensHistoryMonth
