One of my favorite things about Type/Code? Project Postmortems! Seriously. It’s not just an excuse to gather everyone and reflect on what went right (and occasionally very wrong). It’s a chance for the team to reflect, learn, and improve—together. We run them as collaborative workshops where everyone adds their insights to a FigJam board, and then we talk through it all. It's engaging, productive, and always uncovers some quick process improvements we can apply immediately. As our projects grow in size and complexity, we’ve noticed postmortems happening less frequently. So, I’ve been wondering—why wait until the project is finished? Maybe doing them after each phase, or even on a monthly basis, could provide more value as we go. How often do you run postmortems? Do they make your team better? Would love to hear your take! ??

Type/Code helped launch the #SeeSingSing campaign for A24's powerful new film: partnering with celebs who are passionate about the film (including Jesse Williams, Bowen Yang, Mark Duplass, Dax Shepard, and many more) to give away free movie tickets to their audiences. With a tight 2-week turnaround, we spun up a microsite that could be customized for each partner, built on Vercel to handle big traffic surges, and used Klaviyo to dynamically distribute coupon codes for participating theaters. Type/Code turned 14 years old today ?? We started with 4 desks, 3 partners, 1 client, and a reckless amount of gusto. Over our tenure we've now had over 68 amazing teammates, 121+ clients, worked on 354+ projects, and collectively done over 410,000 hours of work... work that has impacted literally *billions* of people. 14 years old is technically "pimple-faced high schooler" age. I certainly don't feel angsty and confused, but we'll always be learning and growing. There have been (and will continue to be) plenty of ups and downs, but its pretty frick'n cool to still be doing awesome work with awesome people every day.
