Resources, Education, Therapy and Childcare Services for children on the spectrum and their families
关于我们
Tylers Way Foundation was founded in 2022 to assist children on the spectrum and their families. This non-profit organization provides education, therapy, resources, and childcare. Tylers Way Foundation specializes in the rebuilding of community & family success. Founded by CEO Janice Strong, her passion for helping others started with her own journey: with her son being diagnosed as developmentally delayed with sensory processing disorder. She started as her son’s biggest advocate and continues to help create communities and environments where children on the spectrum and their families have the most resources and support no matter their location or severity.

For People Giving Out Candy: 1. Be Patient: Some children may not say “trick or treat” or make eye contact. Be patient and welcoming without pressuring them to speak. 2. Offer Candy Choices: If possible, offer candy options and non-candy items like small toys or stickers, which may be preferable for children with sensory sensitivities or dietary restrictions. 3. Look for Visual Cues: Some families may use teal pumpkins or have signs indicating that their child is on the spectrum. Be aware of these cues and respond with understanding. 4. Limit Jump Scares and Loud Noises: Avoid decorations with loud sounds, bright flashing lights, or sudden movements, which can be overwhelming for sensory-sensitive kids. 5. Keep Communication Simple: Use clear, friendly language when greeting children. A simple “Happy Halloween!” is enough without expecting a response. 6. Use Positive Reinforcement: Smile, give a thumbs-up, or say “great costume!” or “thank you for coming!” regardless of whether the child says anything in return. Positive interactions can make a big difference in their experience. #AutismHalloween #InclusiveHalloween #HalloweenForAll #SensoryFriendlyHalloween #TealPumpkinProject #AutismFriendlyHalloween #HalloweenTipsForAutism #TrickOrTreatWithAutism #SpecialNeedsHalloween #HalloweenWithAutism #InclusiveTrickOrTreat #AutismAwareness #SensoryFriendly #HalloweenSafety #AutismCommunity #halloweentipsforparents #TrickOrTreatInclusivity #HalloweenForEveryone #AutismAcceptance

?? Early Signs of Autism: What to Look For ??Did you know that recognizing early signs of autism can help ensure your child gets the support they need sooner? Here are a few behaviors to watch out for:?? Walking on Tiptoes: While some children outgrow this, frequent tiptoe walking can be a sign to explore further.?? Stimming: Repetitive movements or sounds (like hand-flapping or rocking) can be soothing for children with autism.?? Delayed Speech: If your child is not using words or gestures to communicate by certain ages, it may be a sign.?? Lack of Eye Contact: If your child avoids eye contact during interactions, it could be a signal.? Early intervention makes all the difference! If you’re noticing these behaviors, trust your instincts and talk to a specialist. Let’s raise awareness and support each other on this journey. ?? #AutismAwareness #EarlyIntervention #AutismSigns #ToeWalking #Stimming #SupportAutism #ParentingTips #Neurodiversity #InclusionMatters
