First, the $11.5 billion-asset Global Credit Union said it received regulatory approval from the?National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) for its acquisition of the $1.5 billion-asset First Financial Northwest Bank in Renton, Washington. Then, the $1.5 billion-asset Credit Union 1 Alaska announced?plans to merge?with $202 million-asset MAC Federal Credit Union in Fairbanks. Felt I had a little more time to casually catch up with people in the exhibition area and hallways and diving deeper with specific vendors…but you always have to keep an eye on your clock! My highlights of the day included: ?? Interrupting, I mean rounding out my hellos to, the Praxent Team with Kyle Stutzman. The Praxent Team is doing a lot around modernizing and operationalizing projects with fintechs ?? Catching up with the Tyfone, Inc. team and learning more about their recent acquisitions ?? Enjoying dinner with the BankSocial team and got up-to-speed (well, as much as my brain could absorb at that point!) with lots of AI related topics. ?? Dancing to Grammy-winning, talented Wyclef Jean at the after party with Elizabeth Osborne , Sherry(Xiang) Wu, and Shreenath R. ? The rest of my 1:1 meetings were excellent and I enjoyed the various perspectives from the diverse roles, organizations, and experiences my counterparts brought to each conversation. ??
