John Cowen the Mayor of Brownsville and a member of the TBLC spoke today at the North Capital Forum hosted by the @usmexicofoundation in Mexico City. He effectively laid out the many opportunities, and current challenges, with trade, transportation, and economic development along the US-Mexico border.

Last week's D.C. Fly-In was a monumental success for the TBLC and it's members. A special thanks to Senate Minority Leader Senator Mitch McConnell, Senator Ted Cruz, Todd Schulte of FWD.us, the whole team at Business Roundtable, Congressman Tony Gonzales, Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, Rep. Tom Suozzi, and Dr. Heather Boushey of the President's Council of Economic Advisors. To keep Texas globally competitive, our workforce must be up to the challenge for the jobs of tomorrow. In D.C. we brought these stories -- of the conditions on the ground for businesses -- to our elected leaders and opinion leaders on Capitol Hill and to the White House so that Texas can continue being the economic engine for America.
