??Happy 9th Birthday Two Roosters! ???Sunday July 21st??Greystone Village Celebrate National Ice Cream Day at our Two Roosters Ice Cream Truck Rodeo! We’ll be set up in Greystone from 1-8pm with five different ice cream options to enjoy: ?Waffle Cone Nachos: A scoop of ice cream, a handful of waffle cone chips, and a toppings bar ?Ice cream sandwiches: choice of Cookie sandwich with vanilla, or Brownie sandwich with vanilla ?Ice cream pizza slice: Oreo crust with vanilla ice cream and topped with cookie dough, sprinkles, and fudge ?Sorbet floats: Choice of 1) Strawberry Champagne Sorbet + Sprite, or 2) Raspberry Lemonade Sorbet + Sprite ?Throwback 4-flavor Flight: Bringing back some of the super-OG flavors- Butterscotch Haystack, Java Brownie, Whiskey Pecan, and Key Lime Gingersnap TICKETS: Only being sold on-site the day of the event. Upon arrival, come to our ticket table to buy an entry ticket. 1 ticket for $10 or 3 tickets for $25. Tickets will be exchanged for ice cream items at the trucks to keep the lines moving quickly. PARKING: If Greystone shopping center fills up, we have the entire office lot across the street (910 Paverstone Dr) WHICH ICE CREAM ITEM are y’all gonna come get at the Rodeo?!? See y’all there! ??

On the porch of a piedmont farmhouse in North Carolina. That’s where it all started, beneath the watch of Granny’s two black wooden roosters. In the southern summers my family would gather on Sundays for a day of rest and re-connection. And ice cream. Neighbors would come over to share bounty from their garden for the next batch and sit a spell. We would sit for hours talking, laughing, story-swapping and painfully yet lovingly taking turns on that ole rock salt machine. We kids lived for that exact moment of approval when the slurry turned to scoops, our arms no longer fit for the churning, and the reward for our deeds became the epitome of happiness. Granny’s house is no longer there, and the rock salt machine has too much rust. But the love, intrigue, and passion for ice cream has bloomed over the years, just like that hand-churned batch of fresh peaches and cream. Our awareness and appreciation for seasonal harvests and skilled purveyors is a nod to our shared history. The new neighbors are local farmers, brewers, bakers, chocolate makers, tea merchants, and food artisans. We invite you come to our porch and experience all that North Carolina has to offer. And by all means, sit a while.
