Wellness and movement building are deeply connected—sustaining ourselves is not only essential to sustaining the work but is the work in many instances. Too often, organizations push people to the brink of exhaustion, mirroring the grind culture, capitalism, and white supremacy we seek to dismantle. Liberation requires more than resistance; it demands care, rest, and collective healing. What personal practices do you engage in as pathways to liberation? What do you want your organizations and movements to practice? #2BGAsks #QOTD #Share

关于我们
Two Brown Girls Consulting Cooperative is the brainchild of Aja Taylor and Nicole Newman, two master facilitators who have for years worked with organizations seeking to shift from a social service to a social justice model, to change the ways that they relate to the people they serve and to chart a path toward becoming an actively anti-racist institution. We help organizations transform at the individual, group and institutional levels, and help organizations live out their professed values in ways that enliven and excite them. We imagine a world where leaders are plentiful and developed with intention, organizations' work explicitly builds capacity and power within marginalized communities, and organizations get to actualize their mission in ways that are dynamic and transformative. We are not just facilitators or consultants--we are co-conspirators in your organization's transformation.

*taps mic* is this thing on? Hey, Black Women, Can we take 5 minutes to breathe together real quick? Stop what you're doing. I'm serious, if you're doing anything else right now besides reading these words in your head, put it down. It will be there. Stand or sit, your choice, feet planted on the ground. I want you to think of a song that makes you feel. What it makes you feel is up to you, and the invitation here is to ask your body what it needs. Maybe you need a good cry. Maybe you need to feel loved. Maybe you need to feel pissed tf off. You can either put it on, or you can just start singing it in your head. We're going to breathe in for 5 counts, hold at the top of that inhale for 5 counts, exhale for 5 counts, and hold at the bottom of that exhale for 5 counts. We are going to do that 3 times. You ready? Close your eyes, or soften your gaze. Let's Begin.
