Drawing upon his considerable technical, leadership, and entrepreneurial expertise, Jesse’s mentorship will be an invaluable resource for the poised-to-grow businesses taking part in our upcoming Spring/Summer cycle! Following his early studies in biology, engineering, and philosophy at Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, Jesse entered the professional engineering world, where he quickly acquired first-hand experience scaling innovation. Building on early successes in the sustainable energy space, Jesse joined the pioneering personal electric vehicle company Arcimoto in 2015, where he spent nearly a decade in leadership and growth-focused roles. During that decade, he helped take Arcimoto’s team from 6 employees to over 300, supported its IPO, oversaw a factory buildout, and helped scale-up vehicle production. Jesse’s latest venture, Evergreen Bioworks, leverages the latest biotechnology to rapidly engineer peptide IP for the maximization of human health. When our client Rachel Efron asked us to adapt her creativity coaching program into app form, one major challenge was determining how to track and communicate users' progress – through informative, engaging, and inspiring design. Modeled after Rachel's in-person classes, Muzi helps users identify areas for development across five dimensions of the creative process. Playing on the concept of "sparking creativity," we devised a responsive My Spark chart and other visualizations to convey growth over time, helping users stay motivated and on-track.
