On November 3, 2021, Avelo flew its first flight from Tweed New Haven airport with a full airplane of Customers heading to Orlando. Since then, we have carried over 2.6 million Customers on almost 20,000 flights, and we now serve 27 markets supported by over 250 Crewmembers working at Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN).
Our success at Tweed is gratifying, but not particularly surprising. Tweed offers a smoother and better experience due to its small size and convenient location. Our everyday low fares, industry leading on-time performance, and our Soul of Service delivered by our caring Crewmembers, all paired with the convenience of Tweed, is a winning combination.
Apart from fulfilling our Purpose to Inspire Travel, we are proud of the active role we have played in the community, as a sponsor and supporter of many worthwhile causes and organizations, including Special Olympics and Make-a-Wish.
As the largest airline in Connecticut, with more seats, flights, and routes than any other airline, we are proud to call ourselves Connecticut’s hometown airline. The expansion of our footprint in the state, with our first international flights from Bradley International Airport starting later this month, will only add to the convenience and flexibility our Customers in Connecticut can continue to expect from Avelo.
