Looking for a deeper discussion on Initiative Ballot Measure 2117? Seattle University’s Department of Public Affairs and Nonprofit Leadership hosted a conversational debate on the high-profile initiative. This initiative, which will appear on the November ballot, aims to eliminate the state’s new carbon-pricing law, the Climate Commitment Act. The discussion features former state Sen. Reuven Carlyle, who largely wrote the climate bill, and initiative sponsor Brian Heywood. Moderated by Seattle University Professional-in-Residence Joni Balter, veteran journalist and formerly of The Seattle Times.
