We teach our kids not to bully one another, so how are some CEOs missing the memo? This sort of behavior hurts everyone, including…the company itself. More stress, lower productivity, less loyalty, increased absenteeism…the list goes on ?? When I work for leaders who act with grace and respect for employees, I work a whole lot harder and am far more loyal. When it’s the opposite? Well, I might comply just to keep my job, but I’m going to give you a lot less. And I’m outta there the very minute it’s possible. It should go without saying that respect in the workplace should be a non-negotiable, a part of the deal…but I guess I have to say it. **Now for the GOOD part: there ARE companies that don’t have leaders or cultures that support or abide this sort of disrespectful behavior!** So, let’s shout them out and give them the props they deserve! ??
