We're thrilled to see this simple yet elegant pavilion come together on such a stunning site in the Columbia River Gorge! Excited to share professional photography (and more archi-nerdy details) soon—stay tuned for more!
Sometimes construction projects seem to drag on and on forever... Not at all the case for this one, our new wedding and events pavilion at Wind Mountain Ranch, near Stevenson, Washington.? The venue is already up and running, hosting weddings with unbelievable views of the Columbia River Gorge. The team at Kirby Nagelhout did a fantastic job on a really tight schedule. We worked hard to distill this structure to its most simple form, to integrate it into the site, and to create a unique venue that would also be flexible enough to allow couples to tailor the lighting, decor, sequence of events, and style to best suit who they are. Lots of cool details on this one, including shou sugi ban (charred wood) siding, hidden gutters, and custom steel hardware that's designed to accommodate hanging decor, to name a few. There are lots more archi-nerdy things to talk about, but I'll save those for when we have professional photography.
