NEW: The Port Authority has awarded joint-venture firm Tutor Perini/O&G with a design-build contract to replace Newark Liberty International Airport's existing outmoded AirTrain system. We are pleased to announce that The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has selected our joint venture with?O&G Industries, Inc. to design and build the new AirTrain Project at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. The $1.18 billion includes a 2.5-mile elevated rail structure and three new stations to replace its existing on-airport mass transit system. The new AirTrain is part of the EWR Vision Plan designed to accommodate increasing demand and enhance the overall passenger experience. We are honored to continue our relationship with the NYC Department of Design and Construction as the Apparent Selected Proposer for the New York City Manhattan Jail Facility. Our joint venture with O&G Industries, Inc., combined with our design partner, HOK, presents an in-depth approach to meet the extensive needs of this important project. The Manhattan Jail Facility is a key component in New York's Borough-Based Jails Program. The BBJ Program represents a shift towards modern, more humane jail sites designed to enhance both rehabilitation and security. The project scope includes the design and construction of a new state-of-the-art facility that will have dedicated space for on-site services and programming, indoor and outdoor recreation, food services, staff offices and facilities, amenities, below-grade accessory parking, and a secured entry.
