?Alumni Spotlight: Kira Madere ‘22??? From soaring with Tuskegee NEXT to navigating new academic and aviation pursuits, Kira Madere is charting an inspiring course in aviation! After transferring to Texas A&M University-Central Texas, she decided to study Aviation Science with a concentration in the Professional Pilot Program and a minor in Business Administration. Currently, Kira is finishing her Instrument Rating and gearing up for her Commercial Certificate, all while preparing for graduation this summer! Last year, she interned with Envoy Air in Air Operations Recruitment, gaining invaluable insight into the airline hiring process, knowledge that will help her as she prepares for her own journey into the industry. Over the next year Kira plans to complete her all of her ratings and become a Certified Flight Instructor! Kira’s story is a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of chasing your dreams. ???Tuskegee NEXT Alumni Spotlight: Michael Hogue ‘16 is a Naval Flight Officer in training! “March 23, 2024 is when I flew out to Newport Rhode island to begin my journey as a Naval Officer. Boot camp was very challenging in all of the right ways. I believe that it taught me discipline, tact, and accountability; all skills that I’m sure will be useful for my career as a Naval Flight Officer. I graduated on July 12 2024, and am currently stationed in Pensacola, Florida where I am waiting to begin my classes. This journey has been so great and I am so grateful for the amazing opportunity that Tuskegee Next has provided me. It has opened doors that are unimaginable” Michael’s story is a testament to the power of opportunity and perseverance. His success reflects the mission of Tuskegee NEXT—to provide underrepresented youth with a path in aviation. Keep soaring, Michael!
