Dear Turtle Creek Chorale family, On this, my fifth day as Executive Director, my heart is full of gratitude for this opportunity. I have discovered since arriving back in Dallas that some things have changed about this organization that I love, but so much remains the same. The spirit of what began 44 years ago remains strong and bold impacting our city, state, nation and indeed the world. This is possible because of the men on stage who share their voice week in and week out, the board of directors who carefully guide the work we do, the staff who are valued far more than we can pay, the donors who empower the resources to make it possible and the patrons who open their hearts to us each show. There are a lot of pundits today talking about that which divide. However, I believe far more unites than divides our TCC family. I offer this promise to each of you – no matter who wins this election and no matter what response follows the outcome, we will sing. Turtle Creek Chorale will continue to put beautiful music and art into the world. Turtle Creek Chorale will continue to show young and old alike that living your truth lifts us all. Turtle Creek Chorale will continue to live into its mission to entertain, educate, unite and inspire. Berthold Auerbach once wrote "Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” If you’re feeling “dusty” or worn out from a divisive election season, I especially invite you to join us at our holiday show next month. We’ll harken back to the Wonder of childhood Christmases [ https://bit.ly/4gYvBOt ]. There are four dates (December 5, 10, 13 and 17) and four locations (Dallas, Meyerson Symphony Center, Ft. Worth and Richardson) in which to experience the joy of the holidays as only one can through Turtle Creek Chorale. No matter what - we will sing. Thank you for your part in bringing beauty into the world. Most sincerely, Dawson B. Taylor, D.Min. Executive Director

Artistic Director and Conductor of the Turtle Creek Chorale, Sean Mikel Baugh, invites you into his own creative and somewhat controversial thought process in preparation for "I, Too, Sing America." As we stray from the norm, how do we convey a message that's so challenging and yet empowering? The idea of a "safe space" is nothing new to the Turtle Creek Chorale. It's something we embrace, cultivate, and celebrate. Each member and each experience adds something special and sacred to the tapestry of the TCC, and we couldn't be more proud of that. With an exciting year ahead, we invite you to join us at our upcoming concerts and be a part of our ongoing journey! Subscribe to our email list and learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gjSmPZ6n

We still don't have all the words to capture what happened this past Saturday at our Rhapsody gala that featured a once-in-a-lifetime concert by iconic legend Cyndi Lauper! Nearly 500 guests packed the Dallas Ballroom of the Omni Hotel and raised $900K for the musical, cultural, and educational programs of the Turtle Creek Chorale. Among the many highlights was the challenge by Jim Williams to match every dollar donated up to $125K — and this was exceeded. Thank you to our amazing co-chairs — Grace Cook, Sheilon King, Tara Lewis, and Whitney Strauss — our awesome volunteers and staff, and every guest for your support and your love!
