Turnstone is on a mission to empower people with disabilities. Founded in 1943 as Allen County Society for Crippled Children, Turnstone has been meeting the needs of children and adults with physical disabilities for the past 68 years. The agency is excited to offer a variety of programs and services to the residents of northeast Indiana and further. It is our mission to 'enhance the lives of all persons with physical disabilities and their families'. Turnstone Center for Children & Adults With Disabilities is committed to inclusion and diversity in its activities, programs, hiring practices, and volunteer utilization. The opportunities afforded are available equally to all, regardless of age, disability, national ancestry/origin, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or income; however, the individual accessing services must meet agency mission and program eligibility criteria.

THANK YOU to the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation for their generous grant, which has helped Turnstone expand our adaptive sports and fitness programs! ?? Thanks to their support, we’ve added rugby wheelchairs, racing bikes, hockey sleds, and a Motomed Functional Electrical Stimulation system—empowering individuals with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities to stay active and strong. Because of this incredible gift, our athletes and clients have more opportunities to push their limits, build confidence, and experience the power of movement. Thank you for making a difference!

If you've been to Turnstone recently, you might have noticed some exciting changes happening! Thanks to a generous grant from The Ardelle and Theresa Glaze Foundation, we're making important updates to our facility and expanding our programming. We have recently completed updates to our Adult Day Services front desk and service areas. Keep your eyes open for updates in the therapy and KELC spaces too! ?? One portion of the grant is helping renovate our spaces to better serve our community. ?? The second portion is being used to support our programs, ensuring we can continue empowering people of all abilities.
