TurningArtist Spotlight: Craig Stover's “Lemon Hill III” is a captivating exploration of memory and place, blending personal experience with abstract interpretation. Part of a series, this work represents Stover’s recollection of Lemon Hill, a park he frequented daily with his dog, situated above Philadelphia’s iconic Boat House Row. Through a series of memory maps, Stover translates the winding roads and small buildings of Lemon Hill into a visual narrative, where familiar landmarks morph into fluid lines and dynamic compositions. His thoughtful use of color and form invites viewers to engage with the landscape through the lens of nostalgia and personal connection.
