关于我们

Texas-based Turner Company is a manufacturer of precast concrete products from facilities in Rhome and Lockhart to supply contractors and municipalities in the Texas Triangle. The Lockhart facility features the BFS Souveraen fully automated concrete pipe plant. Turner Company expanded its reach by opening a second precast concrete production facility in Lockhart in August 2019. The new robotic facility is supplying manholes, precast concrete pipe in diameters from 18 to 60 inches, and precast boxes for culverts and other applications. The company is a family owned business established in 1980 by Leo Turner. In its early beginnings the company was involved in both commercial and residential construction, but rapid growth presented opportunity to expand into the precast business producing septic tanks, grease traps, storm cellars and manholes. Built on integrity and a strong work ethic, The Turner Company prides itself on quality workmanship. Business relationships are broad and varied including some of the largest builders in the Texas Triangle to one-man operations. Our guiding principle remains, "Service is more than a promise - it's our guarantee!" Contact us at 817-638-9053 or 866-638-9053

Fort Worth's historic Fire Station No. 2 becomes the Nobleman Boutique Hotel: Precast concrete vault used for backflow prevention and cross contamination A piece of Fort Worth’s firefighting history has been reborn as the Nobleman Boutique Hotel. Originally constructed in the early 1900s, Fire Station No. 2 played a pivotal role in supporting the city’s growing need for fire protection during an era of rapid industrialization and urban growth. This historic landmark has been reimagined as a 35-room boutique hotel, blending its architectural legacy with modern amenities. Hidden beneath the surface of the hotel is a critical feature ensuring guest safety: a backflow prevention and cross-contamination assembly installed by FM Utilities LLC. (www.fmutilitiesllc.com). Ferguson Fort Worth (www.ferguson.com) supplied the precast concrete vault from TurnerCo. Backflow refers to the undesirable reversal of water flow in a plumbing system, which, in fire protection systems like sprinklers, can cause water from the suppression system to flow backward into the potable water supply. This can lead to cross-contamination, introducing harmful substances into drinking water. The assembly is housed in a precast concrete vault supplied by TurnerCo, an essential component for protecting both the equipment and the water system. These precast vaults offer numerous advantages, including: Physical Protection: Shielding the backflow assembly from damage, extreme weather, and tampering. Ease of Maintenance: Facilitating inspection and repairs with designs that often include locking mechanisms or hatches with safety grates. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring proper spacing, drainage, and insulation to meet safety standards. Customizable Design: Accommodating various backflow devices with reinforced concrete for durability and resistance to environmental degradation. Safety Features: Incorporating built-in drainage systems and, in cold climates, insulation or heating elements to prevent freezing. Structural Integrity: Designed to withstand heavy surface loads in traffic areas, meeting stringent standards like AASHTO ratings. While visitors enjoy a piece of Fort Worth’s rich history, the unseen backflow prevention system, housed in a durable precast concrete vault, quietly safeguards their health and well-being. The Turner Company provides a series of "Lunch 'n' Learn" workshops and plant tours for its customers, focusing on the core products of the company. Precast concrete boxes and pipe included in implementation of the Gateway development stormwater master plan in Forney, Texas Precast concrete boxes and pipes are a key component of the stormwater management infrastructure for the Gateway development in Forney, Texas, a 2,000-acre mixed-use community focused on sustainable growth. To protect the area from flooding and pollution, the development incorporates advanced green infrastructure, modern drainage systems, and flood prevention measures, all in compliance with regulations from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The stormwater drainage system is designed to handle extreme weather events and reduce flood risks. Precast concrete structures buried underground, efficiently collect and convey stormwater runoff. The Turner Company supplied 5,700 feet of precast concrete boxes for culverts and road crossings in various sizes, including 5-foot x 3-foot, 6-foot x 4-foot, 7-foot x 6-foot, 7-foot x 5-foot, 7-foot x 4-foot, and 10-foot x 6-foot. The 5-foot x 3-foot boxes were used to construct a twin culvert. The Turner Company also provided 5,500 feet of reinforced concrete pipe in sizes from 18-inch to 48-inch in diameter. These products were delivered in October, and the drainage system is expected to be completed by mid-2025. Moss Utilities, LLC of Dallas, led by Superintendent Angel Perez, and Shawn Lain, Vice President, Client Relations is handling the installation. As Forney continues to grow, future developments must prioritize stormwater management to prevent overloading the city’s drainage systems. Coordinating stormwater management across different developments will be critical to maintaining the city’s resilience to heavy rainfall and flooding events. Precast concrete boxes and pipe used for stormwater drainage systems and road-crossings are essential elements of stormwater master plans. The TurnerCo grease interceptors enhance the performance of?wastewater and stormwater drainage systems for high profile projects TurnerCo's grease interceptors significantly improve the efficiency of wastewater and stormwater drainage systems for prestigious projects. These specially designed precast concrete interceptors not only enhance performance but also reduce potential environmental risks to water systems, soil, local wildlife, and domestic animals. One notable installation took place at the 2024 Texas State Fair, featured on Channel 5NBCDFW on October 7. A 500-gallon interceptor, captured in a screenshot from the report, was installed. TurnerCo offers a range of grease interceptors from 500 to 6,000 gallons, with customization available upon request. The Texas State Fair, established in 1886, promotes Texas agriculture, education, and community involvement. It is a National Historic Landmark, running for 24 days consecutively, making it the longest-running and one of the largest fairs in the nation. In 2023, the fair attracted over 2.3 million visitors, contributing approximately $422 million in economic activity to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition to the Texas State Fair installation, TurnerCo installed a 4,000-gallon grease interceptor at the Charles Schwab new headquarters in DFW Westlake. The company's 1.1 million-square-foot campus will accommodate 6,000 employees. Developed by Hillwood, the campus was designed by Corgan and built by DPR Construction. Hamilton Kent gaskets training prepares products for Firefly Park precast concrete infrastructure Similar to how Turner Co organizes plant tours and educational events for professionals who specify and purchase precast concrete products, the company’s staff also receive periodic visits from suppliers to demonstrate product applications. In September, Pat Voinis from PVA Gasketing (www.pva.net/gasketing), representing Hamilton Kent (www.hamiltonkent.com), a manufacturer of gaskets and sealing products, visited Turner Co’s Rhome facility in North Texas. During the training, members of the sales, engineering, and production teams participated as Pat demonstrated the proper installation of gaskets for reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and precast boxes used for culverts. RCP and precast concrete boxes are being used for storm drainage systems at Firefly Park, an urban village in Frisco, Texas. These precast boxes and concrete pipe units are gasketed. Various sizes of precast concrete pipe, manholes, and gasketed precast boxes, including 8-foot by 5-foot units, were shipped for the project. Moss Utilities (www.mossutilities.com) of Dallas served as the installation contractor, with Angel Perez from Moss Utilities acting as the superintendent overseeing the installations.
