Turner & Townsend Heery (as Owner’s Project Manager) was excited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new John F. Cutter Jr. Fire Station with representatives of the City of Newburyport, Winter Street Architects (designer), Construction Dynamics, Inc. (general contractor) and dedicated firefighters and their families.?The new Cutter Fire Station honors the legacy of 100 years of the Cutter family’s public service to the City of Newburyport.?This project continues a long-standing relationship between Turner & Townsend Heery and the City of Newburyport, MA. ? The new station is the City’s first net zero building and provides the latest firefighter safety and accommodations. Its contemporary design features a low-sloped roof covered in solar panels, solid concrete walls, an exposed wood roof system, and a memorial garden that honors the service of past Newburyport firefighters.
