Critical infrastructure upgrades are coming to O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The Turner Paschen Aviation Partners are preparing to launch the 17' outside diameter, 14.5’ inside diameter tunnel boring machine scheduled to mine 8000 feet of segmental tunnel. This iconic project will redirect major stormwater flows and will allow for the existing central detention basin to be filled, paving the way for new north-south taxiways, and the eventual construction of future concourses. The Turner Paschen Aviation Partners (TPAP) successfully delivered another critical enabling project for the O’Hare 21 Program. This spring, we successfully commissioned the Lower C Concourse (LCE) gates connected to Terminal 1, Concourse C. The project reconfigured Gate C10 and relocated gates C4, C6, and C8 – opening the footprint for the upcoming Satellite 1. Additionally, this project achieved several noteworthy diverse and capacity-building goals. ? 32% of the work was completed by MBE & WBE firms. ? Two new first-time primes to ORD.
