Meet Erin Schoenherr at #ASPHP2025! ?? As we kick off the general sessions at the ASPHP 2025 Conference, we’re excited to introduce Turn Medical’s Erin Schoenherr! ?? Here’s what Erin has to say: “When I was at my first hospital orientation, they discussed how to prevent injuries on the job. They presented a cartoon of a person lifting a box in perfect squat form with a level back and knees properly bent. I saw this and scratched my head; in healthcare we aren’t lifting boxes, we are treating and taking care of patients. In the moment of helping patients, we are not always thinking about proper body mechanics. As an Exercise Physiologist, I wanted to take my knowledge of body mechanics and implement it with products and solutions that will help make caregivers’ lives easier and reduce risk of injury while treating patients. At Turn Medical, with the use of the Pronova-O?? there is no twisting or overextending the body to help turn a patient from supine to prone. Managing critically ill patients in the prone position has many challenges including injury to staff and the well documented incidence of pressure injuries.
