Meet Jared Kee! Jared oversees our business strategy, takes care of essential operations, and architects the software that brings our algorithms to life for clients. His expertise in management and software development helps us deliver innovative results across the board. Outside of work, Jared has been pursuing a personal goal – earning his private airplane pilot's license. As a student pilot with the Yellow Jacket Flying Club based out of PDK airport in Atlanta, he's excited about this new challenge and the opportunity it presents to explore something new.

We are excited to announce that Turbine Logic has been selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) SBIR/STTR Programs to continue developing new virtual reliability software for real-time failure detection at solar PV plants. This technology leverages existing instrumentation to remotely detect common PV issues like string and tracker faults, improving reliability, reducing maintenance costs, and enhancing power production. Looking forward to working on this with our project partner EPRI.

Meet Corson! In his role as an engineering consultant at Turbine Logic, Corson excels at analyzing industrial assets and building tools to predict power capabilities. Reflecting on his experience, he says, "I love the people at TL... Intelligent, Kind, and Creative." When he's not exploring the gas turbine world and catching software bugs, you can find him fishing across Georgia and North America. Corson has some great stories from his adventures, and we've got the photos to prove it! At our last company retreat in the North Georgia mountains, Corson led a fantastic fishing expedition that everyone enjoyed!

Meet Ben Emerson! At Turbine Logic, Ben is an expert in combustion systems and he leads our day-to-day work in that space. He’s developed numerous software packages and algorithms that have helped clients around the world. Outside of work, Ben applies his engineering talents in his hobbies, where he takes on creative projects—like building a lifted golf cart tow rig for his fishing boat. Some of us are starting to wonder if Ben’s just making sure he’s got the best setup for the next company fishing trip!

Given the recent EPA Rule on CO2 standards for gas-turbine power plants, this provides an interesting summary of a few CCS challenges. The article states that no CCS project, even outside the power sector, has exceeded an 80% carbon capture rate by the end of last year. While CCS isn't mandated by the new EPA standards it will be difficult to meet the more stringent future phases without it. This makes it crucial to find a way to effectively capture CO2, should the new rules stand.
