They believe in the importance of stewardship and became members of the Rotary Foundation’s Arch Klumph Society in 2023. Warren completed the District 6110 Leadership Academy in 2021. He will also co-chair the Legacy Campaign to raise an additional $2 Million for the Rotary Foundation from our District. His community involvement in Nevada has included 18 years on the R-5 Board of Education, co-founder of the Osage Prairie YMCA, serving as a Presbyterian Elder, and current chairman of Nevada’s Philanthropic Society. The Rotary Club of Tulsa welcomes Ben Jones as a new member! Ben is a proud native of Green Country, born and raised in Claremore. After graduating with honors from Oklahoma State University, Ben spent the first two years of his career in Kansas City, where he joined the Commerce Bank ASCEND training program. During this time, he gained extensive experience in credit underwriting, business development, and business strategy. Recently, Ben relocated to Tulsa to join the Commerce Bank Tulsa Metro Commercial Banking team. A fun fact about Ben: he is a member of the Cherokee Nation and the Society of Mayflower Descendants. While one side of his family was among the first European settlers in America, the other side was there to greet them. Ben was sponsored by Rotarians Natalie Evans and Darren Walkup.

Since launching its PolioPlus program in 1985, Rotary has contributed more than US$2.7 billion to fight polio and countless volunteer hours. In 1988, Rotary partnered with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to form the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. The Gates Foundation and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, later joined. When the initiative launched, there were 350,000 cases of polio every year. Today, the incidence of polio has plummeted by more than 99.9%. Rotary has committed to raising US$50 million each year to support global polio eradication efforts to sustain this progress and continue to reach every child with the polio vaccine. The Gates Foundation has pledged to match that 2-to-1 for a total yearly contribution of US$150 million. Rotary brings together a global network of community leaders dedicated to tackling the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. We connect 1.4 million members from more than 46,000 Rotary clubs worldwide. Their service improves lives both locally and internationally, from helping those in need in their own communities to working toward a polio-free world. Visit Rotary.org and endpolio.org for more about Rotary and its eradication efforts.
