We recently had the opportunity to host officials from the U.S. Economic Development Administration to tour Tulsa's tech hub and hear first-hand from partners about the initiatives underway in our region to become a global leader in autonomous systems and advanced mobility technologies. With significant momentum resulting from two large federal investments and a consortium of over 100 partners, Tulsa is poised to play a leading role in re-shoring the U.S. supply chain for drone technology. We have an RFP out to develop our multi-site master plan. Help us shape the future of aviation! https://lnkd.in/gAFW3Kxv
Osage, LLC seeks proposals from qualified respondents to develop a multi-site master planning strategy for the Skyway36 droneport site and adjoining parcels and related facilities. For this master plan Osage, LLC requests a strategy that guides an immediate, industry-specific development strategy conducive for advanced, unmanned aerospace activities and one that specifies feasible, relevant land-use forecasting (3, 5, and 10-year timelines) for real estate activities that complement and enhance aerospace activities conducted at key sites. The master plan requested should identify facility needs and future development options to accommodate potential growth, while assessing the ability of the existing airfield to support the forecast demands. This RFP comes at a pivotal time in Tulsa’s aerospace legacy. Notably, the Skyway36 site was the recent recipient of multiple federal awards from the United States Economic Development Administration, the Build Back Better Regional Challenge program, and the Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs (Tech Hubs) program. These significant federal investments, coupled with the vision and past and future support from the Osage Nation highlights the importance and potential of the airfield site and adjoining properties. Thank you to Congressman Lucas for sharing a powerful message at Inside Innovation Summit on our region's potential to be at the center of future technological advancement. View the full remarks: https://lnkd.in/gmpNep7N "Programs like Tulsa Innovation Labs are successful, not despite their location in America's heartland, but because of it. Tulsa has strong existing infrastructure in four key areas: aerospace and autonomous systems, biotechnology and life sciences, cyber technology, and energy diversification. These are all future-focused industries with tremendous growth potential. Building out these technologies will create jobs in Oklahoma and keep America competitive on the global stage." #InsideInnovationSummit #TulsaTechHub #TheFutureIsBright #TheFutureIsTulsa

Leaving Tulsa feeling incredibly energized to have been in the company of award winners, game-changers, innovators, thought leaders, and all-around cool people at the Tulsa Innovation Labs Inside Innovation Summit. We shared ideas about economic development, delved deeper into Tulsa's rich history, and participated in a vision of of a tech-enabled economy and workforce that uplifts and creates opportunities for all - especially communities who have been historically excluded from the conversation. Lots of learning and lots of fun - thank you for another spectacular experience. Jennifer Hankins Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin Conor Godfrey

?? Just got back from an incredible week at the Inside Innovation event hosted by Tulsa Innovation Labs, and I am FIRED UP! ?? Tulsa is proving that they’re not afraid to punch above their weight class. In fact, if there is one thing I learned, they are becoming a class of their own. What stuck with me was their desire not to just "be a player" but to legit "WIN the game" --- and the secret is out --- they are already doing it. Only a few years in, they’re already lightyears ahead. Tulsa, you’re setting a new pace. ??♂???♂???♂???♂???♂???♂???♂? #TulsaInnovationLabs #InsideInnovation #TheFutureIsBright #TechHubTulsa

Social innovation requires a deep understanding of the public decisions that shaped the injustices we are seeking to address. Experience Tulsa helps tell this story and groups like Build in Tulsa and Tulsa Innovation Labs are paving the more inclusive and just path forward. #Tulsa #socialinnovation #socialimpact #Greenwood
As my home community braces for destruction brought by its second major hurricane in 2 weeks, I have been in Tulsa where the historic Greenwood community was destroyed in a race riot over 100 years ago. What our guides have emphasized is most people only hear of the wealth of the Black community before it was burnt. What isn't talked about is their ability to pool their own resources to rebuild an even wealthier, more vibrant Greenwood in a few short years when millions in insurance claims were denied and no building supplier within the state would sell them a single brick. This is not me telling you that the riot made them stronger. Or that they didn't need any government help. There was a tragedy and a history that still requires reconning. And the way this community is currently wrestling with its destructive past while intentionally building a future that celebrates and expands on the legacy of its Black entrepreneurs is inspiring. I will choose to believe I was in Tulsa for a reason and carry this inspiration home to St Pete as we rebuild together. #Tulsa #StPete #Florida #rebuild #innovation #HurricaneMilton #Greenwood
