Beginning at midnight, the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra (TSO) will enter 24 hours of giving. Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, from 12 AM until 11:59 PM, all gifts will support TSO’s Education and Community Engagement initiatives. These programs serve over 20,000 Tulsans free of cost, thanks to the generosity of donors like you. If you don’t want to wait until midnight you can make an early gift by visiting tsogivingday.org. Just $15 can change the course of a child’s life. A donation of $15 will sponsor 1 student’s participation in TSO education programming. Share the news of TSO Giving Day with your family, friends, and neighbors to multiply your impact on the future of classical music. Thank you! #TulsaSymphony

While we anxiously await the start of our 24-25 Season, we thought we'd let you know what some of our musicians are up to this summer. Tulsa Symphony Orchestra's Dominique Corbeil (Violin I) and Gerald Scholl (Principal Timpani/Drum Set) are in Boulder, Colorado for their 28th season with the Colorado Music Festival. The orchestra performs from the beginning of July for five weeks. The orchestra members are almost all principal players from all over the United States and Canada with some players from Europe. In addition, Gerald hopes to have his first book edited by the end of the summer. It is entitled – Brahms: A 21st Century Timpanist’s Guide to Optimal Performance. The photo is their view from the Chautauqua Auditorium where they perform.

We can't stop thinking about our amazing season finale performance from this past weekend - particularly the Scherzo movement of Mahler's 5th Symphony, which featured Rebekah Lorenz on horn. During the 2023-2024 season, Rebekah was under a temporary appointment as Principal Horn and has now accepted a permanent position going into the 24-25 season. Congrats Rebekah and welcome to the TSO family!
