CLIENT FEATURE: Meet Skii! 💫 After an incident with family left her homeless, Skii needed help obtaining documents, housing and an income. To find the support she needed, Skii came to the Tulsa Day Center and connected with one of our case managers. Skii was able to apply for housing through Tulsa Housing Authority, work with Volunteers of America Oklahoma regarding payee services, and be matched to a youth housing program through the Tulsa Higher Education Consortium. 🏘️ Skii was nervous and excited to be moving into her first place on her own. Even though February is the shortest month of the year, we have some big stats to share! 📊 In February 2025, the #tulsadaycenter served 9,132 visits. 👥 6,226 of these were folks who came in during the daytime, and 2,906 were overnight guests. 🌛 Our case managers took on 87 new clients during this month, and our outreach team made 194 new contacts. 🤝 Learn more about our 24/7 efforts to #endhomelessness at tulsadaycenter.org.

We need dinner volunteers! 🥘 At the Tulsa Day Center, we provide meals to our overnight guests every night. To do this, we rely on volunteer groups who bring enough food to serve around 85 people per evening. 👩🍳 If you or your organization are interested in serving supper on a one-time or ongoing basis, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator Co Edwards at cedwards@tulsadaycenter.org. The Junior League Of Tulsa recently hosted their annual garage sale where they provide area nonprofits an opportunity to pick out donations.  Our team was able to get nice household items, furniture and clothing that we can provide our clients. Winter Weather Recap 🌨️ During the two snow storms we saw in January and February, the Tulsa Day Center teamed up with agencies citywide including Housing Solutions and The City Lights Foundation of Oklahoma to open a pop-up shelter at the Rose Bowl. The data is in! 📊 During the first storm, from January 5 through 11, the Rose Bowl provided shelter for 391 individuals. The following month, February 17 to 22, the Rose Bowl hosted 348 individuals who came in to keep warm. This work would not have been possible without an incredible team of nonprofit agencies and volunteers who came together to support Tulsa's most vulnerable.
