The Tulsa Artist Fellowship , a competitively awarded three-year grant allowing artists to live, work and collaborate in Tulsa, is hosting its 2024 Open House, Oct. 4-6. The dynamic weekend includes exhibitions, installations, performances, open studios, workshops and the debut of Earthbound, a dark sky exhibition in partnership with Space For Us. With the belief that arts are critical to the advancement of cultural citizenship, Tulsa Artist Fellowship supports artists and arts workers in the heart of Oklahoma’s Green Country. Visionary artistic practitioners live and work here, intentionally engaging with our city. Tulsa Artist Fellowship is a George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF) cultural initiative. Tulsa Artist Fellowship is a place-based, durational award focused on supporting visionary arts practitioners. Every year, TAF designates 10 new fellows from an open call process who will receive a total of $150,000 over three-award years in addition to $12,000 yearly housing stipend, $1,200 yearly health stipend, $1,200 yearly studio assistant stipend, $1,500 relocation stipend, fully-subsidized studio spaces, and access to shared art making facilities. Our program is integrated into Tulsa's vibrant Arts District and historic Greenwood District with galleries and performance venues, green space, independent retailers, and restaurants. TAF recognizes that groundbreaking art practices thrive within an intention-setting framework. Awardees commit to actualizing a project during the three-year program term. WHO QUALIFIES Artists and/or Arts Workers of any medium and/or discipline with a minimum of five-years arts field experience committed to living and working in Tulsa, Oklahoma full-time for three-years. Applicant must be at least 25 years old and a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or O-1 Visa holder.
