Congratulations to Dr. Mark Mondrinos, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering, on his National Science Foundation (NSF) Early CAREER Award!
Congratulations to Mark Mondrinos for receiving National Science Foundation (NSF) Early CAREER award! The National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER award is a prestigious grant that supports early-career faculty who demonstrate exceptional potential in integrating education and research. It aims to foster the career development of teacher-scholars and advance innovative research that benefits society. Dr. Mark Mondrinos's CAREER project aims to develop sex-specific human cell culture methods and engineered tissue models to better understand sex differences in physiology, disease progression, and pharmacological responses. By integrating research with educational initiatives, the project seeks to advance foundational knowledge and create broadly adoptable tools that may improve clinical outcomes through the development of sex-based medicines. Dr. Mark Mondrinos is an assistant professor in the Tulane University Biomedical Engineering department in the Tulane School of Science and Engineering.
