Care and Community-TUSDM Provides care in the Josiah Quincy School. TUSDM has provided screenings/preventive care for children at the Josiah Quincy School in Boston since the early 2000s. This program allows children to get screenings and preventive care at the school-without disrupting class time. There are three chairs in the school where TUSDM faculty and students provide the care. ?? The Massachusetts Dental Society Foundation recently awarded over $100,000 in grants to support oral health initiatives across Massachusetts! We’re proud to share that the Tufts University Cares for Veterans Program was among this year’s recipients, receiving a $15,000 grant to expand their work in providing oral health education, cancer screenings, and long-term care connections for veterans experiencing housing insecurity. Global Student Leaders in Oral Health!-TUSDM ASDA Chapter Leads the way!. "...The Annual Session serves as the official meeting of ASDA’s House of Delegates, bringing together representatives from every U.S. dental school to vote on association policy, elect national officers, and set priorities for the year ahead. The conference is a dynamic experience centered on leadership development, professional growth, networking, and advocacy. This year, more than 600 ASDA members, dental school administrators, and industry leaders participated in the three-day event. Tufts ASDA was honored to send seven TUSDM students to this in-person conference, including two ASDA Class Representatives and five students from our school. Our chapter's ability to function effectively, foster leadership, and engage with the national ASDA community would not be possible without your unwavering support. As a token of our appreciation, we are sharing our?Post-Annual Session Reflections?to highlight the impact this experience had on our members. We sincerely thank you for your continued support and for all you do for both Tufts ASDA and the larger TUSDM community. This year’s Annual Session was particularly meaningful for Tufts ASDA, as our chapter achieved several significant milestones: Gold Crown Award – Chapter of the Year: The Gold Crown Awards recognize ASDA chapters that excel in six key areas: member engagement, community service, advocacy, health & wellness, member communications, and professional development & leadership. Tufts ASDA was honored as the overall?Gold Crown Chapter of the Year, a distinction awarded to one chapter from 11 district finalists. This recognition comes with a $1,000 monetary award and is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our members. Leadership & Individual Achievements: Colby Dean?was elected as?District 1 Trustee for the 2025-2026 term.
