Congratulations to Dany Lynn, Human Resources Manager at Tucker Freight Lines, for being named the Tri-State Human Resource Association (TRIHRA) HR Professional of the Year! Since joining Tucker in June 2021, Dany has been a key driver of our growth, compliance, success, and innovativeness in all things HR. She has also earned her Veteran Ready Certification and is a strong advocate for hiring veterans in the transportation industry. Dany has introduced impactful initiatives like wellness programs and leadership development classes. Dany has been part of building a culture that has placed 1st and 3rd, the last two years in the TH Best Places to Work in Dubuque. She’s also an active member of the Dubuque and Quad Cities Veteran Networks, Junior Achievement, and multiple other nonprofits. We’re proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition. Open Deck OTR Driver?Tami?got her?CDL in November 2018?and officially hit the road in?January 2019. She’s worked in many different fields, but trucking stood out for one big reason, independence. For those new to the industry, she emphasizes the importance of being?mentally and physically prepared.?Trucking isn’t just a job—it’s a?lifestyle?that requires a?strong mindset, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. A strong advocate for?women in trucking, Tami encourages more women to step into the industry, take on the challenge, and prove what they’re capable of. While trucking comes with its share of challenges, including negativity at times, she doesn’t let that hold her back. Instead, she focuses on the?many rewards—freedom, valuable experience, great pay, travel, and even the opportunity to mentor others. Fear isn’t something that follows her on the road. Instead, she keeps her focus on?learning, improving, and being better than she was yesterday. Tami, we appreciate your hard work and the example you set for others!?
