Cutting a heart shape tube groove on our Haas VF6 for our customer. A heart shape or elliptical tube groove compresses the tube to strengthen the wall to prevent a wrinkle. A heart shape tube groove eliminates the need for a mandrel and/or wiper which saves on overall production cost and reduces cycle time for high volume production.
