Telling the story of where our food comes from has been such a journey. This time it took me to Vera Earl Ranch in Sonoita and WOW! Tubac Golf Resort & Spa sources ground beef & the flat iron steak from this family-owned and operated business. These cattle are open range, grass fed, and grain finished, then dry aged for 20 days. You can definitely taste the difference! I loved touring the ranch and learning about the operation with the owner, Ian. So much care goes into the quality of their beef, that’s also processed in Southern Arizona. Other restaurants throughout Tucson, Phoenix and Yuma use Vera Earl beef and you can purchase their frozen cuts and other products at their store in Sonoita. Highly recommend stopping in!
