  • Yesterday, TSU’s College of Engineering went nuclear (not literally, don’t worry!) with an insightful seminar featuring Yuqiao (Joy) FAN, Ph.D. from Oak Ridge National Laboratory! ???? Dr. Fan shared the latest breakthroughs in fusion energy and the incredible strides toward making this futuristic power source a reality. From cutting-edge projects at Oak Ridge to hands-on research opportunities, including exciting Summer 2025 internships, there was no shortage of inspiration and career insights for those in attendance! A huge thank you to Dr. Fan for an inspiring and thought-provoking session, and for taking the time afterward to connect with students one-on-one about their career paths in fusion energy and engineering. Shoutout to our dedicated faculty advisor, Ranganathan Parthasarathy, for always bringing such impactful opportunities to TSU. Here’s to more events like these that keep our passion for engineering alive and growing! ??

  • Last week, our concrete canoe team had the opportunity to visit GATE Precast in Ashland City! They got an up-close look at the precast manufacturing process and how it’s used in real-world projects. This hands-on experience is going to be a game-changer as we gear up for competition season! Huge thanks to Gate Precast for hosting us!
