What happens when you focus on communication? You get an opportunity to create and be part of something greater than yourself. Last week the executive leadership team at TSOLife got to spend a couple of days together, conducting on sight meetings. And while we virtually meet on a consistent basis, we've noticed the impact of being together in person. I am fortunate enough to hop on calls with our amazing VP of Customer Experience, Allison McBryde, and getting to creatively collaborate with her in person elevates how our Sales and Customer Success teams work together, hand in hand. When there's a new feature launched or a Development team update pushed, I get to meet with our phenomenal Director of Product, Phelan Welch. But in person? In person I have the chance to see the upcoming road map come alive. It would probably be fair to say that most Sales teams don't communicate directly to the Development team. Except, when I get to sit and talk to our Directors of Web and Mobile Apps, Mauricio Tovar and Amit Patel, we get to "close the loop" so to speak from customer facing to back of the house. While I work closely with our Founder and CEO, David Sawyer, having face to face time with him not only gives me greater insight into his vision for the company, but I also get to connect with a personal side of him that not everyone gets to see. Which only serves to inspire me to help achieve those ambitions. Not to be overlooked is VP of Operations, Mandy Curtis MSN RN, who tirelessly ties us all together. With her detailed perspective, and Gant charts galore. Now unfortunately our Director of Data Quality, Lauren Ranson, couldn't make it out this time around. But she is such a huge part of our team, I'd be ashamed if I didn't mention her. And by the end of the meetings, it's safe to say our communication and collaboration was invigorating. Rising tides lift all boats, right. So the real winner of us being dialed in, and on target? "What's fair isn't always equal, and what's equal isn't always fair." I used to hear this quote all the time when I still worked with at risk students. It was frequently said as a way to focus on differentiation for the individual, and to recognize this required us to creatively approach how we built relationships and used resources and programs. Let me know when you see the direct connection to senior living... And that's what I love about this industry, the pursuit of learning about each and every resident so that we can use those insights to make a positive impact in their lives. In the last couple of weeks, I kept hearing a new phrase in regard to senior living, that we're at the "Dawn of Innovation". A new age where technology can increasingly be used to support residents in communities, while collecting and using insights for communication, to improve wellness outcomes and overall elevate resident quality of life. This is just, incredible. The leveraging of tech to improve human connection, and provide data backed practices so we can make sure we're working in the right direction. For every resident. There are quite a few options for senior living operators who are looking to improve resident data collection, business intelligence, resident engagement, reporting, and communication. But in my view, only one system is built to capture the individuality of every resident up front. #TSOLife

Finding a great solution for resident data is sort of like making it through “hump day”. It can feel like an absolute marathon, a ton of heavy lifting up front, with the hopes it’s easy coasting once you get over that hill. What if collecting, filtering, and using resident data didn’t feel like an obstacle? And instead felt like a walk in the park?
