At Third Sector New England, Inc. (TSNE) we know that change is possible and that change can be activated within people and communities. We’re a capacity building organization that partners with nonprofit organizations to provide the services, programs, and resources they need to support their communities and, ultimately, create a more equitable society. We work with organizations to face barriers, like access to resources and capacity, by ensuring they have the support they need; financial, human, and more, to operationalize their work. We are committed to doing this work with equity at the forefront, and a deep understanding of the systemic inequities that pose barriers to impact, especially for organizations that work with historically marginalized communities. TSNE exists to serve and partner WITH organizations and we do so by offering robust research about the state of the nonprofit sector, providing financial, administrative, and operational support, and building spaces, like the Nonprofit Center, and The Link, where nonprofit organizations can convene and strategize towards the future.

Today, on #IndigenousPeoplesDay, we celebrate the resilience and contributions of Indigenous communities across the Americas. Three years after President Biden became the first U.S. president to formally recognize this day, we’re seeing a growing movement — over a dozen states and more than 100 cities have embraced Indigenous Peoples’ Day, choosing to honor the rich histories and cultures that existed long before Columbus arrived. At TSNE, we recognize that our office resides on the traditional homelands of the Massachusett, Pawtucket, and their neighbors. We are firmly committed to taking meaningful action towards greater equity, both here in Boston and in the communities impacted by the nonprofits we support across the country. As put by National Council of Nonprofits, "the new rules embrace clarity over jargon, reject a 'measure everything' mindset, and recognize that people in communities served by programs (i.e., the clients) should be heard before programs are designed." Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay! This year, World Health Organization and mental health organizations are highlighting the connection between mental health and work. Here at TSNE, we recognize our responsibility to appropriately support the mental health of our staff and reduce stigma around these conversations in the workplace. We also believe that equity in the workplace is essential for mental health in the workplace, and we're persistently making efforts to be an equitable place for people to do their best work.
