Our Meet the Board series continues with Eugene Genova, a dedicated advocate for preserving Nikola Tesla’s legacy and fostering scientific exploration. Gene’s journey with Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe began in 1996 when he joined a group of local educators and scientists passionate about creating a science museum. That passion led him to uncover the incredible history hidden behind Wardenclyffe—Tesla’s last remaining laboratory. As a high school earth science teacher for over 32 years, Gene has long understood the power of hands-on STEM education. Since the purchase of Wardenclyffe in 2013, his leadership has been instrumental in working closely with hundreds of volunteers to restore and maintain the 16-acre site. Today, Gene chairs the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) Committee, and leads the Facilities and Grounds Working Committee. He continues to be a driving force in the site's transformation and looks forward to the next phase of development—the opening of the Eugene Sayan Visitor Center and the restoration of Tesla’s original laboratory.
