Online Learning for This Generation.

关于我们

We empower 100+ US districts with accredited middle and high school original credit, credit recovery, and multilingual courses that meet the needs of today’s learners and educators. Our platform was built from the ground up based on extensive feedback from educators and team members who understand firsthand the challenges of teaching today's digital-native students. Teachers told us they needed better ways to engage students, track progress effortlessly, and improve district-wide outcomes—and we listened. Through close collaboration with educators, we developed features that directly address their most pressing needs: bite-sized, engaging video content that captures student attention, flexible language support to serve diverse student populations, comprehensive homework help, seamless progress monitoring tools that save teachers time, and comprehensive analytics that help districts boost graduation rates and student success metrics. Backed by top accreditations (Cognia, WASC) and approvals (UC-AG, NCAA, College Board), Subject delivers measurable results that administrators can trust. Our partner districts report increased student engagement, improved completion rates, and stronger academic outcomes. Ready to transform learning in your district? Let's discuss how Subject can help you achieve your educational goals.

Big news from Subject…in June 2025 we’re launching Subject AI, our new AI-powered operating system ?? Meet Spark. It’s a game-changer: we’re going from teacher’s assistant to teacher’s command center. Subject AI is our fourth product, joining our premium courseware, multilingual courses, and Teacher of Record SKUs. It’s the next step in our vision to lead the digital learning industry in content and data solutions. We aim to be the Netflix of Education (for students), and the operating system for teachers. Designed with teachers in mind, Subject AI streamlines critical workflows through an intuitive interface, giving educators more time to focus on what matters most: building strong relationships with students. Here’s how Subject AI will transform how teachers teach work and students learn: ? Simplified workflows: Subject AI takes the most critical tasks - like grading, feedback, lesson planning, professional development, and in-school communication - and makes them seamless and intuitive. ? Always accessible: Our goal is to be in every teacher’s pocket. We want teachers to have access to the best tool wherever and whenever they need it, and that’s what Subject AI brings to the table. ? Flexible for districts: Districts have the option to opt in or out of Subject AI, giving them control over how our platform integrates into their ecosystem. ? Improved learning experiences: Subject AI’s new, optimized learning experience brings students a learning experience that truly resonates with them. Think: all kinds of new and engaging assignment types, such as audio conversations, video assessments, and multimedia interactions. ? Teacher support: Subject AI acts as a helping hand to teachers, providing predictive insights and support so that they can focus more on teaching and less on administrative tasks. I’m so excited about this milestone for Subject. With Subject AI, we’re moving beyond just providing another education tool - we’re giving teachers a full suite of educational tools, all powered by an AI-enabled operating system. Subject AI will fully launch in June 2025. We’ll collect continuous feedback from educators as they try out different tools within the platform, so we can continually refine it. I can’t wait to hear from our educators about how Subject AI helps them do what we all love most: give students more and more opportunities to learn and grow.? Leopoldo Perez, Associate Superintendent of Instructional Services?at SHASTA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, never planned to become an educator. He started his career in biotech, where he thought he had found his lane. But everything changed when he led a biology lab while in grad school, and he discovered a passion for teaching. And not just teaching…bringing out the best in students. As he explains in this week’s episode of On The Subject, one of the pivotal moments in his early teaching career came when he taught a special education class. At first, he assumed the students might struggle with traditional science concepts. But as he introduced hands-on, project-based learning, he saw something remarkable: Every student was exceeding traditional expectations of their capabilities. Seeing how much these students had to give, he removed the typical academic boundaries and allowed students to explore at their own pace. He realized that it’s an educator’s job to build systems that fit students - not fit students into systems. Years later, some of these former students returned to thank him for his efforts. Clearly, he had made a difference in their lives. Leo is a champion for Career Technical Education (CTE), project-based learning, and the role of AI in keeping public schools relevant - and he’s also proof that education needs adaptable, forward-thinking leaders. It was an honor to host him on On The Subject. Take a listen to Leo’s episode below ?? PS: Fun fact - SHASTA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT has been a long-standing partner of ours for the past two years, and we just love their innovation! Shoutout to Paxton Andraos for facilitating this relationship ??

Imagine being told you won’t succeed…by the very people meant to uplift you. Erika Tejeda EdD knows that experience all too well. Growing up as the youngest of five in a low-income community, she had teachers who dismissed her potential. Understandably, she hated school. But instead of proving them right, she chose to rise above her teachers’ low expectations. Her journey wasn’t easy. But after juggling multiple jobs, becoming a single mother, and initially pursuing a career in the FBI, Erica found her true calling in education. Today, she’s a principal at Perris Union High School District and a first-generation college graduate who is redefining education for the next generation. She saw the flaws in the system and made it her mission to change them. Now, she’s: ? Opening new schools designed entirely around career pathways (CTE) so students graduate with college credits and industry certifications. ? Championing emotional intelligence (EQ) and social-emotional learning (SEL), ensuring students feel seen and supported. ? Breaking outdated educational models to make learning more relevant to today’s world. In addition to all that, she had the amazing experience of hiring her former students as teachers. These were students who once sat in her classroom, struggling against the odds. Now, they stand beside her as educators, walking the same hallways they once roamed as students - proof that representation and mentorship change lives. Erica’s story is one you won’t want to miss. Listen to the latest episode of On The Subject to hear it - linked in the comments.
