Risotto being represented at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business by CEO Aron Solberg along with OpenAI & Amazon Web Services (AWS) ??
?? I feel honored to have been included among an incredible lineup of speakers for the annual Haas Tech Club Summit at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business last week! I spoke on the "Navigating AI" panel alongside the brilliant Caroline McCloskey of OpenAI (Startup GTM) and Andrea Friio (Head of Solution Architects) for AWS. We riffed on a number of topics but these three in particular stood out to me as the most interesting and memorable! ??? Innovating with AI is different! For example, model developments can instantly upgrade your product capabilities, but don't chase "solutions in search of problems" and be sure to have a strong framework of evals to maintain quality (test-driven development is 10x more important when building with AI!). ?Speed is still a startups biggest strength! However, AI hasn't changed the most fundamental PM principles: Know what problems you're solving, focus on the user experience, and don't build in a vacuum. Instead, listen to your users to help you identity the top issues holding you back! ?? Data Responsibility is more important than ever! As corporations become more willing to onboard AI vendors, it's important to have the problem security controls in place to be trustworthy stewards of customer data. Thank you to David Bravo Ritika Mittal Daniel Lira Fernanda Kasper Ortolan and the entire Haas Tech Club for having me at this event! And thank you to my co-founder Alex Confer for helping prep me and sharing his insightful thoughts on the state of AI in IT!
