We're thrilled to announce that First City Credit Union and Ribbon - Inheritance Platform have entered a historic partnership. For those of you that don't know, First City Credit Union is a renowned credit union that's made a point to start driving innovation on behalf of their members. I've gotten to know Nav Khanna well over the past six months and he's the real deal. When you ask him why focus on grieving families, he says, "Being there for our members and their families during an emotional and stressful time is part of why we exist." With this, we've officially seen the first fully self-serve inheritance platform ever launched. I can't stress how big of a deal this is. It's another way of saying, I personally believe we're witnessing a catalyst event that will alter the financial industry forever. First City is just the tip of the spear. I'm willing to bet that in 10 years, 90%+ of grieving families will have a self-serve option for their inheritance and financial institutions will be retaining 100B+ in inheritance per year. I started this company after losing my dad and realizing how the financial system is broken. It turns out, with a good idea, a better team, and incentives aligned, the financial industry is willing to change. This is just one step in that direction. More to come soon.
