Trusted Computing Group develops open standards for computing security.

关于我们

The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is a global organization that develops open security standards and specifications based on root of trust enabling secure interoperable systems and networks across industries. The TCG category of secure computing has created billions of secure endpoints across industries and technologies. The Root of Trust is the foundation TCG specifications are based upon with proven concepts to ensure the integrity of systems, protection of data and security for networks. Through Open, end-to-end standards, TCG and its global membership of the leading PC and server, semiconductor, software, networking, services and mobile device makers create specifications and international standards free to developers, manufacturers and users. Trusted Computing is a category of computing with a fundamentally secure approach based on a root of trust.” 54 new endpoints every second.

A new report from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revealed security vulnerabilities in more than 300 drinking water systems across the US, affecting approximately 110 million people. The assessment highlighted that 97 of the assessed water systems contained critical and high-severity issues, with the estimated impact of a potential breach totalling 27 million. In light of a recent breach on American Water, it’s more crucial than ever that infrastructure addresses these glaring issues. At TCG, we encourage organisations to take a proactive rather than a reactive approach to cybersecurity practices, including the implementation of TCG standards and solutions. Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Wi-SUN Alliance CEO and President, @Phil Beecher, on the latest episode of Proactive International PR’s Connected Communications podcast. We discussed the critical issue of securing the utilities sector, covering key topics such as: ??Current threats facing the sector ??Safeguarding systems with Trusted Computing Group standards and solutions ??The growing role of AI It was great to see how fellow organizations like the Wi-SUN Alliance are aligning with TCG’s vision to bolster security. A big thank you to Proactive International PR for this opportunity! Listen to the full podcast here: https://spoti.fi/48VLoda

We recently saw a fascinating article from SciTechDaily on the topic of #PQC. Quantum computing could eventually unravel classic encryption methods, posing a huge risk to the data stored in critical systems. As quantum computing advances, preparing for its implications on cybersecurity is more important than ever. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is leading efforts to address these potential threats through its Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) initiative, focused on evaluating and standardizing new cryptographic algorithms. Here at TCG, we’re working with NIST and other international standards bodies to remain aligned with future PQC requirements, ensuring our industry is fully prepared for the quantum computing era. According to the ‘Inside a Mind of a Hacker’ report, the growth of cheaply made but overly complex smart devices, which often prioritise speed to market over security features, has resulted in an increase in hardware hacking. This is only compounded by the growing role of AI in enabling hardware hacks, positioning it as a ‘a tool, a target, and a threat’ for those looking to exploit hardware. AI is evolving so fast, and companies must prioritise security in these devices - implementing TCG solutions can prevent any hardware or firmware being tampered with, eradicating the harm of device vulnerabilities. We’re delighted to welcome TCG members to Boston for our final Members Meeting of the year! The week kicked off this morning with a warm welcome from TCG President Joe Pennisi, recapping on some recent highlights and setting the stage for exciting discussions ahead. The opening keynote featured a deep dive from Google’s Jeff Andersen and Charles Kunzman, who presented on OCP L.O.C.K within data center architectures. We also had the privilege of hearing from Andrew Regenscheid of NIST, whose session covered the rising importance of post-quantum cryptography (PQC). It’s great to be here in Boston with so many of our brilliant members, and we’re looking forward to a productive week! #TCG #TrustedComputing #PQC #datacenter

According to a recent report, the cybersecurity skills gap contributed to a $1.76 million increase in average breach costs, a 26.2% increase compared to the previous year. Due reliance on digitization, the attack surface for many sectors has grown significantly, meaning that the importance of implementing solutions to protect network infrastructure and alleviate pressure on overburdened cybersecurity staff is greater than ever. TCG members are at the forefront of collaboration to develop standards and technologies to address emerging security concerns and establish trusted computing principles.
