On Monday, 10 of our TruGreen team members from our Detroit Region had the privilege of supporting Free Bikes 4 Kidz? (FB4K?). The group prepped and repaired bikes for children in the city of Detroit, and this year, the organization collected 2,500 bikes to donate throughout the community this December. Every year around Veterans Day, TruGreen takes part in the Ohio Lawn Care Association’s (OLCA) A Grateful Embrace event, honoring those who have served. This year marked the 31st anniversary of the event, with TruGreen team members gathering at both the Dayton National Cemetery and Western Reserve National Cemetery on November 2. Nineteen of our current employees from branches across Ohio took part, including Dayton North, Dayton South, Leisure Lawn (Dayton Central), Mansfield, Akron/Canton, Willoughby, Brunswick, Elyria, and Walton Hills. This event has been a part of TruGreen for a long time and means a lot to our organization. We are proud to share that TruGreen retirees, Douglas E Hague and Ray Iacobucci, joined us to participate alongside our team. We are grateful for the opportunity to honor our veterans and continue this meaningful tradition. #VeteransDay #Gratitude #Community?

Penn State University Last week, Brian and other team members attended the Penn State University Turfgrass Job Fair, where they connected with over 30 students on opportunities we offer, including both summer internships and full-time positions. Following the career fair, industry pros played in the Thomas L. Watschke Award of Excellence Golf Tournament. We’re proud to share that we sponsored the Thomas L. Watschke Scholarship, awarding $4000 to deserving students in the turfgrass program. This yearly fundraising event celebrates his legacy while also providing support for the Penn State Turfgrass Scholarship Award, allowing his influence to continue for years to come. Earlier this week, our EVP and Chief Financial Officer, Benjamin Dunham, and Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, Kevin Mann, participated in a panel session at the 2024 Association of Corporate Counsel Annual Session in Nashville, TN.
