???????????? ???????????? — Over the next ten days, much of the West Coast will experience below-normal temperatures before gradually warming to near or slightly above average. This extended cool spell will drive an increased demand for gas-weighted heating degree days. ???????? ?????????? ?????? ???????????????? ???????? ???????? ???????? ?????? ??????????-?????????????? ?? While much of the attention in the coming days will be on the wintry and severe weather produced by two separate low-pressure systems, another significant hazard will be present across the South Central. Through Saturday evening, wind gusts exceeding 50 mph will be widespread across parts of eastern Arizona, New Mexico, and west Texas. The strongest winds are expected from late Thursday through Friday, with some areas potentially experiencing hurricane-force gusts. This is especially concerning for southeastern Arizona, southern New Mexico, and west Texas, where exceptional drought conditions worsen. The combination of powerful winds and extremely dry terrain will create a high risk of fast-moving wildfires. Wind speeds are expected to subside late this weekend into early next week, reducing the wildfire threat. #Wildfire #HighWinds #Drought #FireWeather #Weather

???????? ?????????? ?????????????? - 3/12 - The chill March continues across the west while above normal warmth is expected from the Plains through the Great Lakes and into New England heading into the final third of the month. As for precipitation, look for the period to start extremely dry over the Lower Mississippi Valley before wetter-than-normal conditions return to the region. #warm #warmer #cold #colder #drought #heavyrain #weather #longrange #truewx #truewxlongrange

???????????? ?????????? ???? ?????????? ????????-???????????? ???????? ???? ?????? ?????????????????? ?? A strong low-pressure system will sweep into Central California later tonight into Thursday morning, bringing heavy rainfall and, more importantly, a long-overdue snow event for the higher elevations of the Southwest through Friday morning. While lower elevations could see several inches of snow, the highest peaks are on track to receive well over a foot—offering a significant boost to areas that have struggled with a lack of snowfall this season. Many of the mountainous terrain in the Southwest are well below their 30-year seasonal snowfall average to date, making this system a welcome sight for the region. #West #Southwest #Sierras #Rockies #Winter #WinterIsHere #Snow #Snowfall #SnowFighters #SnowPros #Snowplowing #SnowRemoval #SnowAndIce #Ice #Deicing #Brine #Salt #SnowAndIceManagement #Weather #WeatherUpdate

?? ???????????? ???? ???????????? ?????? ???? ???????????????? ?????? ???????? ?????????? ?????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ?? It'll be a soggy stretch through Monday along the West Coast as a series of low-pressure systems deliver multiple rounds of heavy rain. The first round will begin later today and continue through Wednesday, followed by another round Thursday night through Friday, and then the third and final round beginning late Saturday and continuing through Sunday and into Monday. All told, this will produce widespread rainfall amounts of 2-5" with locally higher amounts upwards of 6" possible from the coastline to the Cascades and the Sierra Nevadas. Rainfall amounts of this magnitude over such a short period will undoubtedly lead to flooding, flash flooding, landslides, and mudslides in some areas. For the Pacific Northwest, the onslaught of rain won't stop there, as model guidance suggests another active period beginning late next week and continuing through the weekend and into the following week. #West #WestCoast #PacificNorthwest #Northwest #Rain #Rainfall #HeavyRain #Flooding #FlashFlooding #Weather

???????????????????????? ???? ?? ?????????????????????????? ???????? ?????? ???????? ???? ???????? ?? If the weather gods had a mantra for the next 10 days, it would be: "??????’?? ?????? ???????? ???? ????." Spring warmth will come and go in a flash, keeping much of the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, Northern Mid-Atlantic, and New England on a temperature rollercoaster. Expect daytime highs to surge into the upper 50s, 60s, and even low 70s for a brief spell—only to plunge into the 50s, 40s, and even 30s just days later. This back-and-forth pattern is nothing unusual for spring and will be fueled by two potent low-pressure systems—one arriving this weekend and another late next week. #East #Midwest #Northeast #Plains #GreatLakes #OhioValley #MidAtlantic #NewEngland #hot #heat #warm #warmth #spring #weather #weatherupdate

???????? ???????????? ???? ???????????? ?????????????? ???????? ??????????????'?? ???????????? ?????? ???? ?????? We're closely monitoring the impact of a potent low-pressure system set to charge across the eastern two-thirds of the United States from late Friday through Sunday evening. This dynamic storm will ignite severe weather from the Deep South to the Ohio Valley, with the potential for strong storms to push into parts of the Mid-Atlantic late Saturday into Sunday. Meanwhile, across the Northern Plains and Upper Great Lakes, a much different battle unfolds as rain transitions to a wintry mix and eventually snow. This system will also produce strong, gusty winds and drive a sharp temperature crash as its cold front surges east. But wait, there's more! Another potent storm system is already on the horizon, likely taking a similar path late next week. Stay alert as we track what could be another round of disruptive weather. #Midwest #GreatLakes #OhioValley #MidAtlantic #Northeast #SevereWeather #SevereWX #Winter #Snow #Snowfall

???????????????? ???????????? ???????? ???? ???????? – ?????? ?????? ???????????? ??????????????? Just a quick reminder that the clocks moved ahead one hour overnight! If you haven’t adjusted yours yet, now’s the time. Yes, we lost an hour last night, but the longer evenings ahead might make up for it. This is also a great opportunity to test your smoke detectors and replace the batteries if needed. A few minutes of precaution can make all the difference! So how do you feel about the time change—love it or loathe it? #Spring #SpringForward #DaylightSaving #DST #Sleep

???????? ?? ???????????? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ?????? ?????? ???????????? ???? ???????????? ?? Get ready for a stretch of warmer weather across the eastern two-thirds of the U.S. next week and into the following week. This warm-up will put winter on pause for at least 10 days, maybe even two weeks. So does this warm-up signal an end to winter? Not necessarily. However, as we move into late March and early April, the likelihood of significant winter weather diminishes, particularly across the southern states and lower latitudes. That said, long-range model guidance indicates the potential for a resurgence of below-normal temperatures during the final week of the month. While winter may be winding down or over for many, some areas across the East could still see a few more rounds of colder air and perhaps some wintry weather before the season fully transitions. #East #Midwest #Northeast #Plains #GreatLakes #OhioValley #MidAtlantic #NewEngland #hot #heat #warm #warmth #spring #weather #weatherupdate

?????????????????? ?????? ???????????????? ????????-???????? ???????? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ???????????? ?? The low-pressure system that brought a narrow band of snow to the Central Plains overnight is weakening as it moves east through the Ohio Valley and into the Mid-Atlantic through early tomorrow morning. For most, this will be a minor nuisance, with snowfall totals generally around 1" or less and only a small portion of the affected locations seeing snow accumulate on paved surfaces. However, Clarion, Pennsylvania stands out as an exception with this area expected to receive more than an inch of snow, much of which will stick to roadways and other paved surfaces. The combination of nighttime snowfall and brief bursts of snow exceeding 0.25" per hour will contribute to accumulation. #Midwest #GreatLakes #OhioValley #MidAtlantic #Northeast #Winter #WinterIsHere #Snow #Snowfall #SnowFighters #SnowPros #Snowplowing #SnowRemoval #SnowAndIce #Ice #Deicing #Brine #Salt #SnowAndIceManagement #Weather #WeatherUpdate
