Last week, we got an awesome shoutout from Sharrin Fuller of Glass Wallet Ventures. Sharrin sold her accounting company for over 2 million dollars, and now coaches others on scaling their operations more efficiently. We were proud to support her recent webinar, which focused on helping business owners get ready for the year ahead. Thank you so much for the kind words during the event, Sharrin, and already looking forward to our next collab!

Last month, we heard Sam Altman talk about AI. It got us thinking even more about how accounting is changing, and where the industry is headed next. ????????????????? Prediction for 2025: As the use of AI goes up, the decision-making at many firms will actually get slower. AI is delivering more data and insights than ever, but in some ways, that creates a really big problem. The more information you have, the harder it is to figure out what actually matters and what to act on. The answer? Learning how to cut through the noise. That means training your team to focus on what’s important, blending AI insights with human judgment, and making sure that the tools you use actually help clients. Lots of complexity here, but the companies that get this right are really going to thrive. They’ll be more focused, act faster, and deliver better results. Ultimately, the real value of AI isn’t in how much it gives you—it’s in how well you use it.

??? Simplify Transaction Management Our “Open Items” feature makes it easier to handle unclear transactions. Here’s how it works: ? Automatically flags unclear transactions and assigns them as tasks for preparers or clients ? Has a materiality threshold to ensure that only significant items are flagged for review ? Offers built-in collaboration tools that let preparers resolve items or quickly tag teammates for input

Last month, we spoke at the Family Office Fintech Summit. Our CEO, Alex Lee, joined an amazing panel with Alexandre Lin, Andrew Thomas, and Sophia L., our partner at Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP. They dove into how AI can make accounting workflows smoother, free up teams to focus on bigger-picture work, and deliver better client service. In his newest article, Alex shares some of his favorite moments from the event, and digs into the challenges that family offices face. He explains how Truewind’s AI-powered tools can tackle these issues by learning from past data, understanding transaction details, and even asking for clarification when needed (full piece in the comments). For us, the purpose of AI isn't just to make things faster; it’s about elevating the role of accountants and helping family offices thrive in a way that’s far more efficient. Thank you to the Family Wealth Report for organizing such a great event, and creating an awesome space to discuss how technology is changing accounting and finance. P.S. Tomorrow and Wednesday, we’ll be hosting a virtual booth at the FOTechHub Conference. If you’re a family office looking to streamline your workflows, stop by. More details are in the comments.

AI is changing accounting, and it’s happening faster than many people realize. Our CEO, Alex Lee, shared his perspective in The Woodard Report about AI reshaping the profession—not by replacing accountants, but by enabling them to invest more time in other areas. With AI handling repetitive tasks, accountants are able to focus more on strengthening client relationships, delivering deeper insights, and helping businesses make better financial decisions. The full article is linked in the comments. If you’re interested in how AI is impacting the industry, definitely check it out.
