Amidst the #SXSW excitement a couple weeks ago, True Wealth Ventures was busy fostering a powerful network of women investors at our 4th Women Funders Dinner, co-hosted alongside Project W - Davis Wright Tremaine (with Lynn Loacker, Tanea Foglia and Emily Fallon Baum and J.P. Morgan (with Ashley Brueckner, CFA, Michelle Yeh Gillis and Ashley Rossi). Our Founding General Partner, Sara Brand, Ph.D. Brand, connected with fellow women GPs in venture in town for SXSW to exchange investment strategies, share deal flow, and strengthen our collective community. When women are at VC firms, those firms are 3x more likely to invest in a woman CEO, so we believe strengthening this network will facilitate the flow of VC $ to more female founders. This group really bonded two years ago during a challenging banking situation that affected us all – and these relationships have only grown stronger through our shared journeys.
