Today is Substitute Educators Day! Thanks to substitute teachers, we can ensure that learning continues when a teacher is out of the classroom either for personal leave or for professional learning opportunities. Substitute teachers play a valuable role in our district and member districts and are committed to every learner, every day.

In cooperation with Wagner Farm, TrueNorth runs a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Student farmers plan, plant, care for, harvest 2.5 acres of produce for the CSA, farm to table foods, and farmstand sales. Students learn about the important tasks it takes on a farm to produce vegetables for families to create healthy meals for their families. Everything they learn also translates into real world skills that they can apply in the future. Learn more about CSA subscriptions: https://ow.ly/OOP850U2zxg

Dr. Alan Wahlert, TrueNorth Director of Learning and Communication, recently attended the City of Highland Park Chamber of Commerce meeting which was held at Highland Park Ford. He spoke about the workforce initiative and the importance of TrueNorth's relationships with community business partners as our students seek employment opportunities. In such instances, not only do our students utilize the skills they've learned, but they are contributing to their own community at the same time.
