The True2U staff hopes everyone is having an awesome start to the school year! Shoutout to our CMSD Summer Leadership Academy students who are already putting their new skills to use! Each week of the program was centered around a "word of the week." Through small group activities, big group discussions, and weekly projects, students dove deep into six keywords. They explored how these words connect to their lives now and how they'll be relevant in the future

What an incredible summer it was for the Summer Leadership Academy! Our students had the opportunity to hear from some of the best guest speakers around, from right here in Cleveland and nearby communities. These experts shared invaluable advice and introduced students to some fantastic local resources. Our students are now geared up with knowledge and inspiration to take on high school and beyond! Huge thanks to all the organizations that made this possible: Jalen’s Hope US Bank NLI Healthy Communities Neighborhood Leadership Institute Ghetto Therapy

When students were asked to reflect on their favorite parts of the program, many of them said they enjoyed meeting new people! Check out some of their thoughts in their own words below.
