In Ojai, CA for True Ventures Founder Camp. It's always such a joy to spend quality time with our founders. As part of the program, I had a wonderful discussion with James Freeman, founder of Blue Bottle Coffee about his journey and reflections. One thing he said that really stuck with me: When asked about difficulties he faced maintaining quality while scaling their business he replied, “‘Maintaining’ is a trigger word for me.?You’re either getting better or you’re getting worse. There is no maintaining.”
